Instant LB (1x) is ready to use medium for the cultivation and maintenance of recombinant strains of Escherichia coli and is used for nearly all applications that require a liquid bacterial culturing step, such as protein expression, cloning, and expansion.

Instant LB with or without antibiotics can also be used for selective culture of antibiotic-resistant strains of E. coli.

This can be used for non-selective cultivation of E. coli strains for cloning, production of DNA, plasmid DNA and recombinant proteins.

Our 1x Instant LB is based on the Lennox formulation, one of the most commonly used formulations for LB medium.
